Shinku Yuuhi is a jounin from Konohagakure—best known as the father of Kurenai. During the Nine-Tails' attack on the village, he was tasked with keeping younger shinobi safe behind a barrier. His daughter wasn't happy about being benched from the action, but Shinku had other priorities. He told her straight up: being a shinobi meant she might not have a long life ahead of her. What mattered to him was that she lived long enough to have kids of her own and pass down the Will of Fire to the next generation.
