Rajak leads the Kertia clan, a family of assassins, and is Rael's older brother. His soul weapon, Kartas, manifests as a pair of daggers—the same form as his younger brother's weapon, Grandia. What makes Rajak's situation unusual is that Rael possesses a soul weapon despite not being clan leader, which means Rajak's own is technically incomplete. Rael initially thought his brother didn't realize this, but Rajak had known all along.

This sense of honor extends to combat itself: when Rael lands a cheap sneak attack on Frankenstein during a fight, Rajak wounds himself to restore balance to the engagement.
