Satoru Fujinuma is the story's protagonist. By 2006, he's a 29-year-old manga artist juggling a part-time gig as a delivery driver for Oasi Pizza. His defining trait is an ability he calls "Revival"—it sends him backward in time just before a life-threatening event occurs, giving him a chance to change what's about to happen.

Satoru is a fair-skinned guy with messy navy hair and matching eyes, lanky and lean-framed. He's got a naturally blank look and doesn't smile much. You'll usually spot him in a white polo, black pants, and loafers, along with maroon-framed glasses he needs as his vision has gotten worse over time.
As a kid, he was sharper-eyed and smiled way more. He was average height for his age and dressed in a two-toned brown windbreaker over a light blue shirt, dark pants, and navy sneakers.
