She leads the Defense Organization Against Outer Objects, known as DOGOO.
Originally from early Japan around 248 BC, she joined DOGOO's ranks after her village was destroyed in tribal warfare. She's essentially immortal, having spent most of the last two thousand years in stasis inside a specialized plasma incubator. Every century or so, she's awakened to identify and recruit historical figures whose genetics DOGOO wants for the "E Gene" project.
Despite working under DOGOO's command, she's never been entirely comfortable with all their choices. Most notably, she strongly opposed their decision to recruit Oda Nobunaga for the E Gene project and actually ran away with Saint Germain because of it. They lived together quietly for a while, but when their town burned down during a war, she eventually returned to DOGOO.
She's believed to be Ainu—one of the indigenous peoples who lived in Japan for thousands of years before the arrival of what became the modern Japanese population. Before joining DOGOO, she apparently served as a village shaman, which likely made her valuable to the organization since she could predict her village's future. That reputation is probably why DOGOO sought her out in the first place.
