Sakyo is a strong blader with serious ambitions to become the best. He first shows up in episode 15 of Metal Fight Beyblade Zero G (hitting the manga earlier, in chapter 4), and pretty quickly makes an impression by taking on a string of Zero G characters—Kaito, Eito, Ren, Takanosuke, Shinobu, and Zero among them. He beats all of them across episodes 15 through 18, which includes two of the series' main characters.
What's worth noting is the chemistry Sakyo develops with Takanosuke. After episode 18, the two are basically inseparable, showing up together regularly through the rest of the series. Fans often note this pairing as one of the character dynamics that sticks with them.
