Demon Brothers
The Demon Brothers—Meizu and Gouzu—are best known for their deadly coordination in combat. These Kirigakure chunin were hired by Gato to assassinate Tazuna, the bridge builder, and cripple the Land of Waves' reconstruction efforts. When they ambushed Tazuna under Team 7's protection, the ensuing fight was brief; the brothers were quickly subdued and tied to a tree.
Their signature technique relies on perfectly synchronized attacks. Each wears massive metal gauntlets housing one end of a retractable shuriken chain that connects them—they use it to ensnare opponents before moving in for the kill. The chain isn't their only weapon; if it gets neutralized, they can disengage the mechanism and switch to close-range combat using the poisoned claws built into their gauntlets. Fans often note their tactical adaptability as a defining strength, though their actual combat abilities proved insufficient against Team 7's teamwork.
