Mashiro is a first-year student who just joined the Shiro High School Men's Rhythmic Gymnastics Club. He's got a naturally gifted talent for the sport and has actually won junior competitions, though his innocent and somewhat impulsive personality tends to be what people notice first.
He moved around a lot growing up—his father works as a video photographer, so the family bounced between different parts of Japan. He and Misato went to the same junior high in Miyagi, where Mashiro first got into rhythmic gymnastics. That's where his competitive edge started showing.
