Otto Apocalypse
Born in 1452 as the youngest son of the Apocalypse family, Otto never fit the mold his relatives expected. While his family wrote him off as weak, he turned out to be brilliant and relentlessly driven—the kind of guy who could engineer solutions to problems nobody else even saw coming. His talent eventually caught the attention of the Overseer of Shiksal, a role he took on himself while still young.
As head of Shiksal, one of the most powerful organizations around, Otto basically secured himself five centuries' worth of resources and freedom to pursue his research. And that research was always about one thing: bringing back Kallen Kaslana, the woman he loved. He's been willing to go to extremes—sacrificing pretty much anything—in service of that goal. Fans often note that his devotion to Kallen, twisted as it sometimes becomes, is the driving force behind everything he does.
