Azazel is a former cherub and one of Pandemonium's oldest demons—Beelzebub has vouched for that. He communicates through boards, a workaround he's admitted stems from just not being great at talking to people directly.
He's got this funny contradiction going on: looks absolutely jacked, but he's genuinely kind and obsessed with cute things. His room is basically a plushie graveyard. Beelzebub regularly gets him to make stuffed animals for her, which tracks given how into it he clearly is.
