Best known for his detached, world-weary attitude, Desha's a guy who chases novelty to fight off boredom. When Bojji and Kage stumbled into his world, he basically let them stick around just because they were something interesting to do. That said, he's no pushover—his ranking as the 2nd most powerful king in existence isn't for show. His subjects genuinely adore him, and he rules with actual fairness and reason, which probably helps.
Things between him and Despa are awkward. Despa claims it's because Desha's jealous of his looks, though that story's worth taking with a grain of salt. Either way, the tension doesn't stop them from teaming up when it actually matters.
Desha's a demigod—half-human, half-divine. He inherited most of his father's power, which translates to magic and strength that's honestly ridiculous, plus an intuition that borders on supernatural. He can sense magic in other beings (which is how he picked up on Miranjo's portal to the Underworld, for example), something he shares with other mages.
