Miyamoto Dai got into jazz kind of by accident—his friend Shuhei dragged him to a concert in high school, and that was it. He decided right then that he wanted to be the best jazz player in the world.
After leaving Sendai, he teamed up with Shunji Tamada and Sawabe Yukinori to start the band JASS. They made waves performing at festivals like Katsusha and SoBlue. Eventually Dai moved to Germany, where he found his current crew: Hannah Peters, Bruno Kaminsky, and Raphaël Bonneau. Now they're working toward becoming Europe's best band together.
