Mutsumi Yozakura is the youngest of ten kids and the current head of the Yozakura Family—a major spy operation. She's also married to Taiyo Asano, the story's protagonist.
She was raised with a specific purpose: to eventually lead the family. But her parents made an unusual call by letting her live a mostly normal life outside the spy world, figuring she'd need that real-world experience to be an effective leader. This is how she ended up befriending her neighbor Taiyo as a kid. Despite being close, she kept her family's entire spy operation completely under wraps from him for years.
