Natsume Soseki was a writer and served as mentor to both Yukichi Fukuzawa and Ougai Mori early in their careers.
Ability: I Am a Cat
Soseki can transform into a calico cat—a power that, for most of the story, remains completely hidden. He's widely considered the strongest ability user around, capable of seeing through just about anything. It's not until the Cannibalism arc that he finally reveals what he can do, shifting back to human form to demonstrate his power directly to Fukuzawa, Mori, and Katai.
