Ginko was born into Riel's royal family, and she took that responsibility seriously. When the Sirusians invaded her homeworld, she felt obligated to fight back and protect her people. That's when Sensei stepped in to help her out. Together they managed to stop a raging dragon that was tearing through the Sirusian homeworld—no small feat.
What really defines Ginko, though, is her compassion. After the dust settled, she sensed a young boy drifting alone in the wreckage of the destroyed Sirusian planet. Rather than leave him there, she and Sensei brought him back to Earth and raised him as their own. That act of empathy pretty much shaped the rest of her story.
