Claire Rouge leads Team Scarlet as a flame elementalist bonded with Scarlet, a spirit that manifests as a transformable whip. She's stuck in the Raven Class—basically the dumping ground for problem students, which suits her just fine. Being the sister of a notorious traitor has made her a pariah among most of the student body, leaving her largely isolated. That's partly why she's so obsessed with convincing Kamito to become her contracted spirit, constantly pestering him despite his repeated refusals. She's convinced that a stronger spirit would give her the power to prove herself.
Originally nobility from the Duchy of Elstein, Claire abandoned that family name four years ago after her sister Rubia—infamously known as the Calamity Queen—sparked the destruction of the Ordesia empire. She's been trying to distance herself from that legacy ever since.
Her dynamic with Rinslet is complicated. They're technically friends, but they act more like rivals, constantly bickering. Rinslet doesn't miss a chance to needle Claire about her chest during their arguments, which Claire finds far more irritating than any actual insult could be.
