Dobengal is a mage ranked among Sabertooth's top 10, placing him in one of Fiore's most dominant guilds. He's best known for his brief but memorable encounter with Natsu during the Grand Magic Games arc.
When Natsu broke into Sabertooth's lodging in Crocus looking for a fight with Jiemma, the guild master called Dobengal to intercept him. Dobengal charged in confidently, but Natsu dodged his attack and took him down with a single punch. The speed and ease of his defeat shocked his guildmates and made them realize Natsu was operating on the same level as Sabertooth's strongest fighters.
