Chen Mu grew up in Mu Territory, one of the nine regions of Northern Read, as the son of Territory Lord Feng Mu. His mother, Yanjing Qing, came from a powerful but mysterious background and eventually had to leave the family to protect both Chen Mu and his father when he was young.
Known for his exceptional talent and rapid growth, Chen Mu stood out as the only student from Northern Spiritual Academy accepted into the Spiritual Road. That distinction didn't last long—he was expelled after just a year following a massacre he caused while there, earning him the grim nickname "Blood Calamity." During his time in the Spiritual Road, he met Li Luo and saved their life, and the two fell in love. They decided to enroll together at Northern Heavens Academy.
