Akanbes
Akanbes are the signature monsters of Smile Pretty Cure!. Whenever a series villain needs one summoned, they just shout "Come out, Akanbe!" and one appears. These creatures are pretty limited in their vocabulary—they basically just cry out "Akanbe," "Aka," or "Beh" depending on the situation. All of them share the same voice actor, Sasaki Hiroo.
The name itself is a direct reference to the childish prank of pulling down your eyelid and sticking your tongue out—which, if you think about it, fits the creatures' goofy vibe perfectly.
One interesting mechanic fans have noted: an Akanbe's nose color actually indicates how strong it is, making it easy to gauge difficulty at a glance.
