Krantz is a modified human and leader of DA-5, an elite special forces unit created by Dr. Aris for the Union. He's best known for his overwhelming power—Tao has noted that even all of DA-5 combined couldn't take him down in a fight.
Krantz rarely engages weaker opponents, preferring to stay on the sidelines. When he does fight, he's ruthless and efficient. He initially overpowers Regis, later drains Shark's abilities when solo combat with Rai seems impossible, and even attempts to drain Tao before Ikhan convinces Rai to intervene. His string of victories ends when Rai defeats him.
His personality is cold and calculating—he'll do whatever it takes to complete a mission. He keeps Shark in line when things get out of hand, though he's also callously allowed Shark to eliminate people from Takeo's past without Takeo's knowledge. He openly despises dealing with lower-ranking experiments and comes across as arrogant about his own strength, frequently claiming DA-5 was essentially built around him. That said, Takeo later reveals Krantz was genuinely terrified of Dr. Aris, which contradicts his usual composed demeanor. The one time he loses his cool is when Regis actually manages to wound him—something that clearly got under his skin.
Krantz fights entirely hand-to-hand, relying purely on his physical power rather than weapons.
