Ai Shinozaki
Ai stands out as one of Doumori Elementary's brightest students, a sixth grader in class 6-5—a year ahead of Nube's class. She comes from the wealthy Shinozaki zaibatsu family, which gives her access to resources most kids could only dream of.
On the surface, she's got it all. She's tall and developed for her age, with a figure that turns heads and a face that makes her look way older than she actually is. She's musically gifted too, with serious chops on violin and piano—the anime even slots her episode right after she wins a violin competition. Add fluency in three foreign languages on top of her native Japanese, and you've got someone who looks like she stepped out of a "model student" handbook.
But there's way more going on beneath the surface. Despite those glasses and the perfect exterior, Ai's got her own baggage to work through.
