He's one of Andou's classmates and a total otaku, though the two definitely don't click. He runs with Hajime's group, which puts him in the thick of things despite that tension with Andou.
What makes him interesting is how sharp he is—the guy picks up on everything and isn't afraid to work angles to get what he wants. There's also some strong implication that he's got actual powers; specifically, mind-reading seems to be his thing, which would explain a lot about how he manages to be so manipulative.
