Eclair Seatto is a knight of Melromarc and the daughter of Seaetto, who serves as the Queen's right-hand man. She oversees the Demihuman protected village—a role that reflects her rare stance within the kingdom: she doesn't discriminate against demi-humans, which puts her at odds with much of Melromarc's culture.
She's idealistic and principled, though not rigidly so. Early on, she questioned Naofumi's methods when he extorted bandits for supplies, though she'd later find herself doing something similar. It's the kind of hypocrisy that shook her worldview, at least temporarily.
When Naofumi needed trainers to get his party combat-ready before the next wave, Eclair was brought in as a martial arts instructor for his slaves in Rock Valley. She worked alongside other experts to sharpen their skills—legitimate work that showcased her actual competence.
That competence became an issue with Ren, who dismissed her outright. As a hero with higher stats, he figured there was nothing she could teach him. Eclair called him out and challenged him to a duel to prove her point. She almost won through pure technique, backing him into a corner until he got frustrated and used a combat skill that violated their agreement. Technically he beat her, but he'd cheated to do it—something even he admitted once the Queen pointed it out. The win was hollow.
