A transfer student at Kamihoshi High who's eager to build friendships fast. She meets Yugami on day one when she gets assigned the seat next to his—which, as other students quickly warn her, is basically a social liability. He's got a reputation as a loner, and nobody really hangs around him. But Chihiro doesn't let that stop her. She keeps talking to him anyway, and despite finding him genuinely annoying sometimes, she notices he's often the first one to actually help when she's dealing with something difficult. He's become something of a go-to person for her, even if nobody else quite gets why she bothers.
