Mizuki Ashiya grew up in California after her family moved to America when she was young, but she's originally Japanese. She's best known for making the impulsive decision to transfer back to Japan and enroll at Osaka Gakuen, an all-boys school, specifically to get close to her idol Sano Izumi—a top high jumper who happens to be her age. To pull off the deception, she keeps her hair short and messy, binding her chest with a tight denim vest. She's self-conscious about her lack of curves, though ironically her smaller frame makes the disguise easier to maintain.
Athletically, Mizuki's got serious speed thanks to inheriting her mother's athletic genes, but she's clumsy as hell—a trait she picked up from her father. She's a foodie with a serious sweet tooth, which puts her at odds with Izumi, who can't stand sugary stuff. When it comes to sharing her snacks, though, she's pretty stingy. She genuinely loves animals and bonds easily with them, as seen in her relationship with Yujirou, Sano's dog.
