Yukai is a young shinobi from Kumogakure and leader of the Thundercloud Unit. He's known for his skill in kenjutsu and earned his position as a prodigy early on.
During the Fourth Shinobi World War, Yukai and his unit were deployed to the Seventh Front to reinforce the Amphibious Search and Destroy Unit, who were getting overwhelmed by two thousand White Zetsu clones. Things went south fast—the enemy used the toxic red soil around the battlefield to blanket the area in poisonous gas, trapping Yukai's whole team inside a massive statue. After regrouping and talking strategy with his teammates, they decided to push out and face the Zetsu head-on. The fight got brutal and Yukai took some hits, but that's when Omoi showed up to back them up. With their ally's help, the group pulled off a coordinated Lightning Release technique called Thunder Bomb, which wiped out the remaining White Zetsu forces.
