The Zaregoto Narrator
Birthday: March
Birthplace: Kobe
He's the narrator of the entire Zaregoto series, though nobody ever uses his actual name—everyone just calls him "Ii-chan," "Ii-kun," "Ii-tan," or whatever nickname strikes their fancy. His real identity stays a mystery throughout.
He's the type who downplays everything about himself and just goes along with whatever's happening around him. Maki Himena has a pretty good read on him, calling this tendency of his "agreeing without harmonizing"—he nods along but doesn't really engage. His memory is notoriously terrible, something he's genuinely frustrated about; he'd kill for just an average one at this point.
He used to have a short fuse when he was younger, but his time in Houston seems to have taken the edge off. These days he's much more mellow about things.
His relationship with Tomo is complicated—they're both the independent type who don't really need anyone else, which probably has something to do with it. His feelings toward Tomo are mixed; there's definitely jealousy tangled up in there alongside genuine affection, and it's never entirely clear which one's winning at any given moment.
