Haysin's main obsession is wiping out Umbra—and he's willing to cross lines that most people wouldn't to make it happen. He doesn't care much if humans get caught in the crossfire, which is exactly why Helsing can't stand him. Their feud runs deep, rooted in fundamentally different philosophies about what's acceptable in the fight against the supernatural.
As part of the Mightnight Sun, Haysin's brutal approach puts him at odds with people who think there should be limits. He and Chris have some kind of history or connection, though Chris clearly doesn't buy into Haysin's methods and keeps his distance. The two don't see eye to eye, despite whatever ties bind them.
