Olesia runs the Wooper Pond Preschool, a specialized Pokémon Day Care focused entirely on Wooper. She's best known for her unusual bond with the species—she's loved Wooper since childhood and eventually decided to build the whole facility around them.
Wild Wooper naturally congregated at the pond, and she trained them all to respond to a tambourine beat. She feeds them regularly and genuinely cares for each one, especially a favorite with a heart-shaped marking on its chest.
In "No Big Woop!", Ash and his friends show up just as Olesia gets an urgent call about her mother breaking her leg. She leaves them to babysit her Wooper while she rushes to the nearby town. When she returns with Brock, they arrive to find Team Rocket in the middle of capturing her favorite Wooper. Olesia and the Wooper quickly dispatch the trio and send them flying—which totally shocked Ash and the others.
Brock was genuinely impressed by how strong Wooper proved to be and wanted to know Olesia's training secrets. She explained there really wasn't any trick to it. Most people just underestimate Wooper because they're small, but she knows better. They're tougher and smarter than they get credit for.
