A Mareep farmer showed up in "Houndoom's Special Delivery" with his Houndoom, Doomy. While the farmer was working with his Mareep, Doomy wandered off and found a Togepi—which turned out to belong to Misty. The farmer was relieved when she arrived to pick it up.
Things got messy when Team Rocket rolled through and tried to net Doomy for themselves. Ash and the group jumped in to help, and after a quick battle, they sent Team Rocket packing and freed the Houndoom. Once everything calmed down, the farmer and Doomy pointed the crew in the right direction before heading out.
