A Whirl Cup champion who showed up in "The Perfect Match!", this trainer made it to the finals where he faced off against Trinity. Right before their match could even start, Team Rocket crashed the event trying to swipe the Sea Spirit—but he, Trinity, Ash, and Misty managed to shut that down. After kicking out the troublemakers, he and Trinity finally got their battle in, though the show didn't actually show it. He did pop back up later to collect his prize: a Mystic Water for winning the whole thing.
