Tammy is a young cheerleading coach who appeared in "I Politoed Ya So!" as a character of the day. She runs a Pokémon cheerleading troupe and was preparing for the National Competition.
Things went south when she scolded her own Politoed—nicknamed Bean—for messing up during practice, causing it to bolt. While searching for Bean, Tammy spotted Misty's Politoed and immediately decided she liked it better. She figured using Misty's Pokémon for the competition would be a solid upgrade.
The mix-up led to both girls finding each other's Politoed, though Misty quickly realized something was off about how Tammy treated her team. She was brutal with them, screaming at every mistake, and it showed—her own Politoed had become withdrawn and depressed. When Misty confronted her about being selfish and obsessed with winning instead of actually caring about entertaining people, Tammy watched Misty comfort her crying Pokémon and finally got it. She apologized to Bean, who forgave her.
The situation got worse when Team Rocket showed up at her dance school with a Politoed mecha and captured most of her troupe. Ash and Pikachu jumped in to help, with Bean fighting back and rescuing everyone. A quick Thunderbolt from Pikachu sent Team Rocket flying. When things settled down, Tammy reunited with Bean and was happy to see it had even picked up the clapping rhythm from Misty's Politoed.
