Takumi Inui is the main protagonist of the TV series Kamen Rider 555.
As typical for many teenagers, Takumi is introduced as a rather complicated individual. From the pain he suffered in his past, Takumi was initially very bad at socializing, being cynical in attitude. His rough exterior did very little to remedy this, with many mistaking him as cruel and uncaring. In truth, Takumi's actions stemmed from his fear of pain, neither wishing to hurt others nor be rejected by them. Having overall little hope for the future, Takumi held no dreams for himself, seeing it as a pointless endeavor.
