Salt is a demon from the Makyo Star serving under Garlic Jr. as part of the Spice Boys crew. He's best known for his role in Garlic Jr.'s assault on the Lookout, where he helps take down Kami alongside his teammates. When the group moves on to kidnap Gohan from Kame House, Piccolo shows up to fight them off.
The turning point in Salt's story comes during a battle on the Lookout, where he and Mustard face off against Gohan and Krillin. Salt nearly has Gohan beat until he fires a barrage of Surprise Blasts—which Krillin takes the hit for to protect his young friend. Seeing Krillin hurt pushes Gohan into a rage, and he finishes Salt with a Masenko attack.
