A second-year at Eimei Senior High and a fixture on the girls' basketball team. She's one of the most popular students around—partly because she's genuinely likable, partly because she's a solid athlete. Most people see her as easygoing and laid-back, but there's more to her than that. She's actually pretty competitive; she'll show up to morning practice earlier than Taiki Inomata, determined to put in the work before anyone else arrives.
Her parents moved overseas for work, so she ended up living with the Inomata family. Turns out Taiki's mom and Chinatsu's mom were teammates back in high school, so the arrangement made sense to everyone.
Food-wise, she's got a weakness for oyakodon, though she's equally into omurice just like Taiki. One of her favorite hobbies is sneaking up behind Taiki out of nowhere and scaring him—it's become her personal running gag with him, a way of messing with him that she never seems to get tired of.
