Heinze Axmann, better known as the Brown Beast, commands the Stasi TSF Guard Force in Schwarzesmarken and stands as one of the series' primary antagonists. He's infamous for his sadism and cruelty—traits that earned him a fearsome reputation even within the notoriously brutal Stasi apparatus.
His relationship with his subordinate Beatrix Brehmer is tense and complicated. Though he mentored her, the dynamic between them was never quite comfortable, marked by the kind of power imbalance you'd expect from someone as ruthless as Axmann. His ambition and willingness to do whatever it takes to advance himself make him a dangerous presence throughout the story.
