A mysterious girl who first appears in episode 14 at the Sky Tree. She comes across as cold and distant at first, but there's more to her than the initial impression suggests. Kaoru is rarely seen without her sister Michiru by her side—they're pretty much a package deal.
Despite her standoffish demeanor toward Saki and Mai, she actually gets along really well with Saki's younger sister Minori. It's one of those dynamics that catches people off guard given how she acts around the other main characters.
