Saya is the younger sister of Jin Kisaragi and Ragna the Bloodedge, and she once served as Imperator of the Novus Orbis Librarium. These days, she's the vessel for Izanami, the Goddess of Death and the series' true main antagonist.
Under Izanami's control, Saya has become emotionless and unnervingly literal—obsessed with ending the world, no matter the cost. Flashbacks in Ragna's story reveal she was a normal, confident kid who relied heavily on her older brother. But even as the goddess possesses her, Izanami can sense the deep attachment the real Saya still feels toward Ragna, buried somewhere underneath the possession. Of course, Izanami herself shares none of that sentiment—she's purely cold, logical, and singularly focused on her goal of making everything cease to exist.
