Nanba is the R.A. of Sano and Mizuki's dorm and Umeda-sensei's nephew. He's a year ahead of Mizuki at school and has built a reputation as a charmer, though he's generally levelheaded about it. His womanizing streak supposedly traces back to a failed relationship with his tutor, Kanako Tanabe—at least that's Umeda's theory. Eventually Nanba went on to work as a model.
When Nanba finds out Mizuki is actually a girl (along with the other R.A.s), he agrees to keep quiet, though the secret doesn't stay buried for long anyway. He and Nakatsu clash fairly often within Mizuki's friend group.
Oh, and he won the Miss Osaka pageant during his first year—a fact he'd probably rather forget.
