Sasaki Shuumei is one of the two main characters in Sasaki and Miyano. Most people know him as the bright, energetic upperclassman type—friendly and eager to be around others. But that's only half the story. In reality, he's pretty rash and impulsive, often saying or doing things without thinking them through or considering how they affect the people around him. While he has friends, he's fundamentally kind of a loner. When you see him with family or alone, the cheerful act drops; he comes across as quiet and withdrawn, frequently muttering that things are "annoying."
Despite his bad boy reputation, Sasaki is genuinely affectionate with Miyano Yoshikazu, and he clearly values spending time with him. The two are now dating.
