Noin and Zechs go way back to their time at Lake Victoria military academy, and they've stayed close ever since. After finishing her own training, she stuck around to teach—now she's responsible for putting new Specials recruits through space combat drills. She's genuinely skilled at piloting mobile suits herself, but honestly doesn't have much appetite for actual combat. That's partly why she uses her connections with OZ's leadership, particularly Treize Khushrenada, to push for peaceful solutions whenever conflicts flare up.
What really defines Noin is her loyalty. She's fiercely protective of Zechs and his sister Relena, to the point where she eventually took on a formal role as a Special Guard for the Sanc Kingdom specifically to look after Relena. Her whole approach to conflict—preferring negotiation over fighting—sets her apart from a lot of soldiers in her position.
