Apollo Justice is a defense attorney at the Wright Anything Agency, best known for his role in testing out the Jurist System—basically the court's attempt to bring juries back into the mix. He handled this alongside co-counsel Trucy Wright, prosecutor Klavier Gavin, and his mentor Phoenix Wright.
He's got a sharp tongue and isn't afraid to use it. Apollo makes constant sarcastic jabs, especially at Phoenix's, uh, "musical abilities," and he's not always sympathetic to his own clients either. On the flip side, he's pretty vain—loves making puns about his own name and takes his courtroom presence seriously. Like, really seriously. He practices his signature "Chords of Steel" shout for hours at night, which occasionally leaves his voice shot. He genuinely cares about Trucy and worries about her, though he finds her dynamic with Phoenix pretty confusing and weird.
In the courtroom, Apollo's noticeably more self-conscious and easier to rattle than Phoenix ever was. He doubts himself more, gets flustered quicker. That said, he's just as stubborn and driven to win. The main difference is that Apollo relies on solid reasoning and concrete facts rather than Phoenix's more. instinctive approach to the truth. He's more methodical, which can work in his favor.
