Itoya is one of Kazuki's associates and a capable hand-to-hand fighter. He takes on Obi while Kazuki moves in to kidnap Shirayuki, and the two prove evenly matched in combat—something Kazuki himself acknowledges.
He gets the upper hand when Eugena and Rona's sudden appearance distracts Obi long enough for Itoya to land a decisive blow to his neck, knocking him out. However, this advantage doesn't last. Once Obi comes to, he tracks Itoya down, interrogates him about Shirayuki's location, and forces him to lead the way back to Kazuki. That's where Obi finally encounters Zen, who's already crossed paths with the Lions of the Mountain.
