Yukio Washimine was a high school senior in Japan when she unexpectedly became the leader of the Washimine Group, a yakuza organization. The previous leader, Tsugio Banjo, was killed by Balalaika during a confrontation over tensions between the Kosa Council and Hotel Moscow. Thrust into a role she'd never trained for, Yukio found herself completely out of her depth in the world of organized crime. She's often depicted fantasizing about escaping it all and running away to Roanapur with her bodyguard, Ginji Matsuzaki—a pretty telling detail about how unprepared and desperate she felt for the life she'd inherited.
