Kakkou was a skilled shinobi from Iwagakure who died fighting in the Third Great Shinobi World War. He was known for his well-rounded combat abilities—equally proficient in ninjutsu, taijutsu, and genjutsu—which made him one of the village's most formidable warriors.
In battle, Kakkou was aggressive and tactical, favoring arm-mounted blades as his primary weapons. He first encountered Team Minato when they came to rescue their teammate Rin, whom he'd captured. His attempt to extract information from her using genjutsu backfired, but he managed to turn the tables when Kakashi and Obito arrived. The fight went in his favor—he cornered both of them and even killed Obito. But when Kakashi awakened his Sharingan during the battle, everything changed. Kakkou was ultimately defeated by Kakashi's Chidori, though he did manage to break Kakashi's White Light Chakra Sabre, the legendary blade his father Sakumo had left him, in two before falling.
