Brain is a mercenary and former undefeated warrior from Re-Estize Kingdom. He has blue hair, brown eyes, and a lean but muscular build that reflects years of combat experience. He typically wears chainmail along with magic-infused accessories—a necklace and ring for protection.
Originally a farmer, Brain discovered an almost supernatural talent for swordsmanship early on. He rose through the ranks as a fighter, convinced he was the strongest in the entire kingdom. That confidence held until he competed in a grand tournament to select the next captain of the King's guard. He made it to the finals, where he faced Gazef Stronoff in what was supposed to be his coronation moment—instead, he lost. It was his first real defeat.
The loss hit hard. Rather than accept it, Brain became obsessed with closing the gap in strength. He couldn't afford to chase training full-time though, so he took work as a mercenary with the Death Spreading Brigade to support himself while he pushed toward true dominance.
Everything fell apart when Shalltear Bloodfallen attacked the brigade's hideout. The encounter completely annihilated whatever remained of Brain's ego. Faced with power he couldn't comprehend, he spiraled into depression and suicidal ideation.
His real turning point came through meeting Climb and Sebas Tian. Their influence pulled him out of the dark place he'd ended up in and fundamentally changed how he saw strength. He moved past the arrogance that had defined him and began to understand that swordsmanship was only part of the equation. By then, he'd become a genuinely different person—friendlier, more grounded, and actually capable of growth.
