Kaitou Yuu gained superhuman abilities after the demon plane hole that Sensui opened, transforming him from an ordinary student into something far more dangerous. He attends Meiou Private Academy, where he's locked in an academic rivalry with Kurama—constantly pushing to beat him in grades. He's genuinely talented with words and language, having written multiple books and having a real knack for word puzzles.
His power, called "Taboo," is essentially a territorial word game trap. Once someone enters his domain, they're bound by whatever rules he sets. Break them, and your soul gets extracted from your body. The catch? Kaitou got too curious testing his own ability's limits and ended up breaking his own Taboo, which backfired spectacularly—his soul got yanked out. That's when Kidou and Yanagisawa had to bring in Genkai to figure out what happened and help explain these new powers everyone was suddenly dealing with.
