Laki is an 18-year-old wood mage whose specialty is reshaping timber on the fly—basically whatever form she needs, whenever she needs it. She became pretty invaluable to Fairy Tail after Phantom Lord trashed the guild hall, since her magic made reconstruction a breeze. She's got a soft spot for glasses and wears them herself, and she has zero patience for perverts.
What really stands out about Laki is her weird way of talking. She'll say things like "chopping hair" instead of getting a haircut, "feeding your stomach" when she means eating, or "whittling away the defenseless hours" when she's just trying to sleep. It's quirky enough that people remember her for it.
She's also got a slightly sadistic streak—her room in Fairy Hills is basically stocked like a torture chamber, which says something about her sense of humor.
