Kou Taiki is the group's brainiac—his intellect genuinely rivals Ami Mizuno's, though he's quick to dismiss her romantic idealism as naive. That said, Ami's persistent arguments about the value of dreams actually start to get through to him. During a fight with a phage, Taiki becomes the first of the Starlights willing to let Sailor Moon heal the monster instead of destroying it outright, which marks a real shift in his thinking.
He's aligned with Yaten in believing Seiya should keep his distance from Usagi once they realize she's Sailor Moon—a stance that puts him at odds with Princess Kakyuu and the Guardian Senshi, who want everyone working together regardless.
In the anime, he occasionally wears glasses.
