Matabei's got that "airhead warrior" vibe going on. She's constantly bragging about her skills and insists she's fluent in English, except. she's genuinely terrible at it. Nobody's told her yet, or maybe they have and she just doesn't believe them. She swings around a comically oversized hammer like it weighs nothing, which is honestly pretty impressive.
She fancies herself a "warrior of love" on a mission to protect romance and pure relationships. The irony is thick, though—the second she catches even a whiff of public affection, she loses it completely. All that talk about protecting love goes out the window. She gets absolutely furious at the sight of couples showing each other up.
Matabei has it out for Muneakira Yagyu, genuinely convinced he's a threat to women and love itself and needs to be eliminated. But here's the thing: that whole vendetta? Pretty much manufactured. Yoshihiko fed her a bunch of lies about the guy, and she just. ran with it. That's how much she trusts her lord.
