A production assistant at Musashino Animation who's basically useless at his job. Tarou's one of Aoi's seniors—though only by a month—and he's the kind of guy who embodies every bad habit a young employee can have: he forgets things constantly, never listens to advice, and has an inflated ego that doesn't match his actual competence. He's the bumbling, airheaded type that somehow keeps showing up to work despite being fundamentally incompetent.
Interestingly, series director Tsutomu Mizushima has said that Tarou is basically a caricature of himself when he was younger, which makes the character feel less like a pure joke and more like a portrait of a specific kind of industry struggle.
